“Protection of Goizha Mountain Continues Through Firebreak Maintenance”

Teams from the Civil Development Organization (CDO) have continued their efforts to renew and maintain firebreak lines with the aim of protecting parts of Goizha Mountain from potential fires during the summer season.

At present, CDO is the only organization actively working to safeguard Goizha Mountain from fire hazards. However, its capacity is limited to approximately 240 dunams of land, which it has been engaged in reforestation and greening efforts for over several years.

As is widely recognized, the heavy rainfall this year has led to significant vegetation growth, while this increase poses a serious fire risk during the summer months. For this reason, CDO calls upon both governmental and non-governmental institutions to collaborate and support ongoing efforts to protect Goizha Mountain from wildfires.
