Halabja University hosted the final stage of UoH-MathFest25 on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Bamo Parwez Aziz; Assistant Presidents Prof. Ranjdar Mohammed Aziz and Prof. Sirwan Hamid Ahmed; the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Sarkew Salah Abdulkarim; several heads of departments; and a large number of faculty members and students.
Mr. Dana Taha Mohammed Saleh, a member of the organizing committee, opened the event by welcoming the participants and explaining the competition’s rules. The third and final stage of the competition then began. Three teams participated in this stage:
- Third-year Computer Science Team
- Second-year Engineering Team
- First-year Computer Science Team
In an enthusiastic academic atmosphere, following a highly competitive contest, the Third-year Computer Science Team secured first place and became the festival champions. The First-year Computer Science Team won second place, while the Second-year Engineering Team finished in third place.
In the next segment of the festival, Prof. Ranjdar Mohammed Aziz delivered a speech on behalf of the university, highlighting the importance of scientific activities of this kind. He also outlined the university’s plans to expand such initiatives.
Then, Mr. Makwan Abdulkhaliq, a representative of the Civil Development Organization (CDO), delivered a speech reaffirming the organization’s commitment to supporting Halabja University and continuing its partnership in future activities.
